After 105 years, Martha’s ballast keel was removed at 17:05 on Jan. 6th.
The keel timber looks to be in excellent condition, and the original keel bolts were in good condition as well.
With good fortune on our side we will lower and transport the iron keel from under Martha on Monday the 9th and work will begin on patterning the Sepelle timber.
