But first we have some exciting adventures planed in the Sea.

Craig and Vicky Johnsen from Los Osos are visiting, it’s been 7 years since they were last in the Sea of Cortez and it’s fun to do some exploring with them, as soon as this Norther lays down we will head North to Isla San Francisco about 45 miles North of La Paz.
What is a “Norther” you may ask, well a good question.
It seem a Norther is a weather pattern centered around High pressure over the Four Corners area of the U.S. and a relative low out in the Pacific adjacent to the Sea of Cortez.
The result is a strong Northerly wind, 20kts to 30kts or more in some cases blowing down the Sea, which is about 600 miles long, a long fetch it is and it produces a step sea, todays forecast 25 t0 35 and it has been blowing like this for several days producing 7′ seas at a 7 second interval, just plain nasty.

So we are using this time to visit La Paz, and taking care of some projects around the boat.
If weather permits we may be able to sail North as far as Puerto Escondido and visit Aqua Verde later this month.
Time will tell.
