San Francisco Events and Friends

Ted Pike GSFSRThe Great Schooner Race was quite a hoot  and a wonderful weekend was had by all.    Check out the photos and such on our face book page.

Thank you to Ted Pike for making the journey from Port Townsend to visit and sail with us,  it’s good to see friends from Port Townsend.  Edensaw Woods has been a strong supporter of our endeavors at the Schooner Martha Foundation and we thank them for their support.

Since then we have had a fairly quick visit out of the Golden Gate to Bolinas Bay for some surf play and  maintenance projects, MARTHA always likes a little lovin.   Then back to the city where we were  hosted by the San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park and the Port of San Francisco. We anchored for a bit in the protection of Aquatic Park and then went dockside for a visit by Port / Park staff.

Many thanks to the Port of San Francisco,  Anita Yao and Maritime Director Peter Dailey for the Port / Nonprofit  and the Port / Park relationships.  And Bill Doll Park Director of Preservation for making the visit possible.   We appreciate your support!

This weekend we were honored to be a part of the MMBA Wooden Boat Show hosted by the Corinthian Yacht Club in Tiburon.   It continues to be a wonderful experience to share MARTHA with new friends and introduce her and the high quality skills and workmanship of the Port Townsend Marine Trades and the  Port of Port Townsend.

We send out a great THANK YOU and appreciation of efforts of all the volunteers who make the MMBA function.   Their efforts and funds go toward continuing youth sailing and maritime education.

Looking forward to sailing south to Long Beach with our crew in preparation for TRANSPAC, Hawaii and then most important,   home to Port Townsend!
