OIYC Round The County

Tomorrow, Friday MARTHA departs for a full weekend of Orcas Island Yacht Club racing.   The Round The County race is 2 full days of racing,  circumnavigating the San Juan Islands.    The weather forecast is wind 15 to 30, and rain,  just as we like it!

Round the County is a premier Northwest race event drawing over 100 boats this year, the fleet will consist of some of the fastest, well sailed boats in the Northwest.

Saturday the start line will be in Rosario Strait just off Lydia Shoal,  North to Patos,  West down Boundary Pass to Turn Point, South down Haro Strait with the finish off of Roche Harbor.

Sunday the start will be just off Mitchell Bay outside of Mosquito Pass,  down Haro Strait,  East to Davidson Rock,  North up Rosario Strait to finish off Obstruction Pass, Orcas Island.

This will be MARTHA’s first race with her new rating 111, Holy Moly!  No matter what, this week end will test boat and crew.
