Off Shore Wrap Up and Looking to the Future

For folks following on Facebook, you were able to follow a little more closely.   Our apologies to the rest, we were in hibernation and did not keep up with our posting.

Now that MARTHA has returned to her home dock in Port Townsend’s Point Hudson Marina, we can take a breath and reflect on the passage from Hanalei Bay and plan for the Future..

Throughout the entire year of adventuring we were constantly reminded of the power of  teamwork,   voyaging with MARTHA  and a crew who are truly present and engaged is a treat in itself.  Each new trip presented  challenges and opportunities for everyone to learn and grow.

The sail from Kauai to Victoria BC proved to be especially challenging  with Neptune providing everything we needed to get us home on time, including exciting wet and wild squall sailing.

MARTHA and the crew did a great job of facing the challenge and the crew did so with a cheerful outlook and a dose of humor, everything one could want to share with shipmates. We even removed a small bit of garbage from the Pacific when MARTHA staged onto her wheel a bit of net from the sea.

So now we look forward to competing in the 2015 Round the County Race event and putting together MARTHA’s 2016 Sailing Adventure Schedule.

Cheers.
