MARTHA heads for SWIFTSURE

Jaun de Fuca straits,   Port Townsend to Victoria,  Big flood,  could be a long trip but the wind is forecast to be SE 8 to 12 ss1

then E 8 to 12 then NE 8 to 12.

What did we get?   SE 8 to 15 then E 15 to 20 then ENE 15, wow who would have guessed MARTHA and her crew would have an epic sail to VICTORIA with a strong fair breeze and a following sea. One of the best sails to Victoria,  ever.

We made short work of it, a gybe angle to Partridge PT, a gybe to Dungeness Spit and a gybe to Brotchie ledge at the harbor entrance to Vic.  All in about 4 hours and 30 minutes.

We are now dockside in front of the Empress Hotel it’s a great sight, 190 boats and counting.  45 boats in our race alone and as always the people of Victoria are always welcoming and friendly and the Swiftsure staff always helpful.

Stay tuned and we will update as we can.
